No, really! What a freakin’ week it has been and it’s only Tuesday!

It started with me winning a Sodastream!! Say what?!? You heard right! I was on my way out for a run and then I saw that a Sodastream street team was going to be in Times Square. If you were the first to see them and say a password you could win a Sodastream. I obviously took my run to Times Square and lo and behold, I won me a Sodastream.

All I want to do is carbonate my favorite liquors like Sorel but I am following the instructions like a good gay and just carbonating water. Sigh..

On the bright side there are some really fun soda recipes out there. My favs being from my hot friend, blog tutor, and food blogger, Andrew (who’s getting married in a couple weeks!! MAZEL!) He writes a fun blog called Eating Rules. Here are two of my favorites that he suggests.

Raspberilla
Scoop of Raspberry Pulp
6-8 drops Vanilla Extract

The RaspberPeach That Gave Andrew A Headache The Next day
Scoop of Raspberry Pulp
Chopped Mint Leaves
Almond Extract
Dash of Fee Brothers Bitters
Peach Vodka

Take a glass, add the ingredients, pour some freshly fizzy soda on top, and enjoy…responsibly!

Make sure you check him out and send him warm, fuzzy wedding wishes —> Eating Rules

Next I am prepping for a great charity event that happens on Friday of this week. Zokos.com has paired with a bunch of fabulous food bloggers to throw an event benefitting City Harvest.

If you don’t know much about City Harvest read on..

“City Harvest’s mission is to end hunger in communities throughout New York City through food rescue and distribution, education, and other practical, innovative solutions. This year, City Harvest will collect more than 38 million pounds of excess food from all segments of the food industry, including restaurants, grocers, corporate cafeterias, manufacturers, and farms. This food is then delivered free of charge to some 600 community food programs throughout New York City by a fleet of trucks and bikes. City Harvest helps feed the more than one million New Yorkers that face hunger each year.”

For $20 buckeroos you can come to this event, try a bunch of delicious food and give to a great cause!! Wanna come? Check out the event sign up here —> City Harvest Summer Pot Luck

I hope you all have an amazing week and maybe I’ll see you on Friday Evening? Maybe I’ll even bring some homemade soda along with me!
