We are well in to rehearsals for Broadway Bares, my “Ninja” training at Mark Fisher Fitness continues and the diet…well..the Broadway Bares Diet (BBD) is going semi strong. Why do I have to love a margarita so?

The cast of dwarves that I am part of are amazing people as well have amazing talent! The hot fitness ninjas at Mark Fisher inspire me to keep going and my unofficial Weight Watcher Sponsor, Penny, keeps me in check with my points!

Lately I’ve been really crazy sweets, chocolate and peanut butter to be exact. AHHH, a match made in heaven if you ask me…insert drooling here…but as we all know sweets come with the consequence of high Weight Watcher Points and that is no good for the BBD! So I went on a hunt for something healthy, delicious and low pointed and I came across many a person making Choco-Peanut Butter Protein Balls.

Brilliant!! Except, the problem being they were still semi-high in pointage. SO, I stayed up all night at The Kitchen Gaily headquarters and I created my own recipe that is satisfying, delicious and protein packed!

So without further adieu I give the the SNACK OF THE WEEK!

The Kitchen Gaily’s Choco-Nut Protein Balls!

1 cup fresh unsalted peanut butter
1 cup fresh unsalted almond butter
1/3 cup Toasted Wheat Germ
2 TBS honey
1 TBS unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1.5 scoops vanilla Protien Powder (careful as some of these can be high in sugar)
1 ripe banana (mashed)

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl till combined. Form 40+ gumball/pinball sized rounds and place on a baking sheet. Refrigerate for 15 to 30 before transferring to an airtight container. Separate layers with plastic wrap if necessary to prevent sticking.

Each of these is worth 2 points plus on the Weight Watchers scale and is an AMAZING source of protein, fiber and all the rest of that goodness!
